Improving Own Learning and Performance
How to Improve Your Own Learning

This is not an easy thing. Learning is a complex process that draws on many skills and can be made more effective by becoming aware of what you are doing, how you are doing it and how well you are doing it. Once you are aware of what's going on, you can start to change things to suit your own learning style and the demands of the task you have to tackle.

Improving your own learning and performance is not something that you can do once and forget about. It is a process that needs to become an integral part of your normal approach to work and study throughout your career in higher education and beyond.

Developing and using the skill of improving your own learning can enhance all other learning. You can apply the process to a section of a course or to other skill areas or to activities outside higher education as well as to another assignment.
