John Baxter |

John is the Research Training and Development Co-ordinator. He first came to Surrey in 1990, completing undergraduate and Ph.D. degrees in the School of Engineering, before spending periods as a Research Fellow and as a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering. John organises and delivers personal and professional skills development programmes for doctoral students and research staff. |

Alistair Morey |

Alistair is the Learning Development Coordinator in SPLASH. He is responsible for the day to day running of SPLASH and and works with academic departments to develop new ways in which SPLASH can contribute to students' development of academic skills. Alistair joined the university in 2008. He has previously taught History and Politics, conducted research into aspects of higher education, particularly studentsatisfaction and employability, and worked in university research funding offices. |
Rachel Stead |

Rachel is one of the Student Learning Advisers in SPLASH. She works with students from all faculties and departments giving advice and guidance on all areas of learning development, either on a 1:1 basis, or via study groups, workshops and seminars. She joined the university in 2004 as a teacher and has worked both on the pre-sesessional courses (university preparation programmes) and English Language Support Programmes. Rachel has a background in English Language teaching, both in the UK and South America, but since gaining her MA Applied Linguistics in Sydney in 2002 has focused on teaching academic skills to both home students and International students. |

Kelly Boazman |

Kelly joined the SPLASH Team in early 2008 and works primarily to support John Baxter and the PostGraduate Skills Development Programme. She also provides administrative support to Penny Burden and the rest of SPLASH. Prior to joining SPLASH, Kelly studied and worked in Paris for four years and now works in SPLASH for 3 days a week and teaches French in her free time. |
Dawn Duke |

Dawn is the Research Training and Development Officer. She has a BS in Psychology from Western Michigan University, a MS in Behavioural Neuroscience from Rutgers University and has recently completed her PHD in Neuropathology from Imperial College London. She is now working with John to organise and deliver personal and professional skills development programmes for doctoral students and research staff. |

Mary Dickinson |

Mary is one of the Student Learning Advisors in SPLASH. She works with students from all faculties and departments giving advice and guidance on all areas of learning development, either on a 1:1 basis, or via study groups, workshops and seminars. |
Mary first joined the University in 1999 and has held a number of research and development roles since then, within both Central and Faculty projects. Her Doctorate, completed here at Surrey in 2002, focussed on changes in university identity and the efficacy of reflective learning in higher education. |
