Hello, my name is Richard Benny and I am the Programme Director of the LLM in Employment Law by distance learning. I would like to say a few words about the LLM programme and its distinctive features.
- The LLM will be particularly useful to those HR and Employment professionals wishing to enhance their qualifications in this field.
- The programme incorporates a consideration of the practical application of the principles of Employment Law in the workplace while leading to a prestigious academic qualification.
- We are seeking the maximum number of CPD points per annum (16) (for each year of the programme) required by the Law Society and the Bar Council for law practitioners.
- The LLM is offered part-time over two years via distance learning mode, i.e. much of the delivery is on-line, with a number of residential weekends.
- You will have access to a valuable and extensive range of on-line legal databases
Structure of the Programme
The LLM comprises four taught modules over two years, and one dissertation module. The four taught modules are:
- The Contract of Employment (30 credits).
- Termination of Employment (30 credits).
- Discrimination Law (30 credits).
- Collective Labour Law (30 credits).
- Dissertation Module
