UKARG The UK Austronesian Research Group

UKARG, the UK Austronesian Research Group, was established in February 2005 in response to an increasing level of research activity in the UK in Austronesian languages and linguistics.

The objectives of UKARG are:

• to hold monthly research seminars as a forum for discussion for researchers working in Austronesian languages and linguistics;

• to organise occasional workshops on Austronesian linguistics; and

• to encourage research in Austronesian languages.

All who have an interest in Austronesian languages are encouraged to participate.

UKARG seminars are normally held on the second Friday of each month. If you are interested in presenting a seminar in the series, or know of visiting Austronesianists, please contact bill.palmer@surrey.ac.uk.
