An important educational goal for SCEPTrE is to advance understanding and facilitate further development of collaborative, enquiry-rich processes for learning that will enable students to develop their capabilities as critical and creative enquirers.
Nearly 30 members of staff are currently involved in adapting modules so that they encourage students to be more enquiring. Dr George Allan (University of Portsmouth) is providing expert 1:1 advice and support as part of his SCEPTrE Fellowship. In collaboration with staff he is preparing a ‘Guide to Designing Enquiry-rich Learning Experiences’. A wiki is being developed to host the results of this work.
