Paulo Lopes working with a student researcher, will contribute to our understanding of professional placement in the light of his extensive research on emotional intelligence and interpersonal capabilities.
External Fellows bring insights from other institutions or from professional practice into the University for the benefit of SCEPTrE and its agendas.
George Allan from Portsmouth University will be producing a practical teacher-friendly Guide to Enquiry-Based Learning, running workshops for Faculties and creating film resources.
Fred Buining is going to be fostering students' creativity by working with staff and students at Surrey.

Lindy Blair will be developing undergraduate PDP-related resources and processes in Management and Law.
Gina Finnerty from Health and Medical Sciences will be exploring the use of collage mapping in role conflict.
Catherine Grob's project involves 'learning on the move' with the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
James Heather will be enhancing the student experience in learning computer programming, based in Enginnering and Physical Sciences
Carol Leppa - an International External Fellow working with Health and Medical Sciences - will be using web-cam conference links to develop advanced professional practice.
Simon Usherwood (AHS/PIPS) ) will be developing new models of negotiation-based learning through role playing.
Magd Abdel Wahab (E and PS) is developing supplementary instruction (peer mentoring) for Engineering students.
Kevin Wells (E and PS) has a new, enquiry-based approach to teaching engineering design and professional skills.

Continue to work with SCEPTrE and are influential in and between Faculties, where their projects or expertise can supportt useful development.
Geoff Hunt undertook a feasibility study on providing an undergraduate unit on ‘Ethical Awareness’ for Engineering and Science undergraduate students.
