Opportunities to work with us
SCEPTrE works with students in many ways, below are some of the activities and projects we do:
- CoLab: A student organization that works with students, the wider university community and business.
- Cultural Academy: A chance to look at the importance of culture in our multicultural campus.
- Enterprise Academy: An opportunity to create new ideas and put them into practice in your own life.
- Creative Academy: Learn some new creative problem solving techniques.

- Story Telling competition: Five £200 prizes for excellent stories of learning.
- Lifting the Lid: Workshops aimed at exploring career opportunities in many different fields.
- Annual Student of the Year Prize: For dedication to professional and personal development.
- Learning through Part-Time Work Certificate: A pilot scheme is being launched this summer with 40 volunteers to look at and acknowledge the learning students undertake whilst working in part-time jobs.
- Lifewide Learning Awards - New 2009: To acknowledge the learning students gain through a wide variety of extra-curricular activities.
Many of the opportunities we provide are eligible for credits within the DAVE Individual Development Scheme.
